School is out and summer is here!  Wondering what to do with the kids all day?  Well, Fairfax County Park Authority offers FREE shows, concerts, movies and music all summer long at different venues.  2013 SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT SERIES performances range from children's puppet shows to big band, jazz, bluegrass, rock, classical and world music.

Looking for a fun family night out?  The Starlight Cinema at Trinity Centre in Centreville is the perfect for family entertainment.  Take your blanket, picnic dinner and enjoy the drive-in movie.  They offer four different movies on Saturday nights in August.  My husband and I took our boys last year and they provided a bounce house and crafts before the movie started. Gates open at 6pm so I would get there a little early to get a good spot. Best of all, it's free!

Check out the 2013 Summer Entertainment Series web site for show dates, times and locations throughout Fairfax County.  Entertainment is offered most days of the week at various times to fit all schedules.  Arts in the Parks, Braddock Nights, Hunter Mill Melodies & Spotlight by Starlight are to name of few of the community series  offered. http://1.usa.gov/Isov

I hope you and your children enjoy the Fairfax County Summer Entertainment Series as much as we do!

Happy Summer!
